Among all the people who take part or will take part in the project of MacGyver film, only three names are currently known.
He started his career as screenwriter for the TV police series Hill Street Blues in 1981. One year later he became producer of Remington Steele, an other TV series with Pierce Brosnan in the main role.
Zlotoff remains in the memory of all as the creator of the show MacGyver, which ran on ABC between 1985 and 1992 and was diffused throughout the world.
After this, he produced the Western Australian series Snowy River : The McGregor Saga.
In 1996, he won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival for the movie The Spitfire Grill, whose he wrote the screen play and directed the filming.
Nowadays he contributes to the quarterly magazine Make, in which he plays the role of judge for competitions organized for the readers.
In 1983, she founded with Dino their own company: the Dino de Laurentiis Company (DDLC). Together, they decided the construction of three production studios in Wilmington (North Carolina) in 1984, in Australia two years later, and in Marocco in 2003.
DDLC has produced more than 30 films, include Crimes of the Heart, nominated for an Oscar. Matthew McConaughey, Anthony Hopkins or Kurt Rusell has played in their studios.
Martha married Dino in 1990, one year after his wife Silvana Mangano – the Mother of Raffaella - dies. She became then the stepmother of Raffaella, although she is a little bit younger than her. Both producers will collaborate together on the project MacGyver.

Raffaella is born on June the 28th 1954. He is the daughter of Italian film producer Dino de Laurentiis and actress Silvana Mangano. Like her father, she has produced a lot of films, include Conan the Barbarian, Dune, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, or Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.Martha de Laurentiis
Martha Schumacher is also born on July the 10th 1954. She is graduated from Ball State University near Indianapolis and started her career in 1976 as assistant auditor in New York.
