Richard Dean Anderson is the emblematic interpreter of our best hero. During 7 seasons and 2 TV-movies, he endorsed his leather jacket, placed his Swiss Army knife in his pocket, and made itself a lot of cascade.
Since Rick was not unemployed! 8 seasons as leader of team SG-1 consolidated his reputation. 59 years today aged, we could believe that he lives a peaceful retirement, and that the role of MacGyver is far behind him. Well at all!
In order to help the launching of the new spin-off Stargate Universe, RDA proposed to appear in the first episodes of this new Series. More important, he will endorse his role of Jack O' Neill for the third Stargate movie Revolution whose turning is envisaged this year. Much more than one simple appearance, his character will be in the middle of the scenario, which makes of Richard the main actor of the movie.

As for MacGyver, the actor doesn't forget the role which gave him his notoriety. In an interview, published by the french magazine Télé Star in 2000, Richard affirms “dreaming to play MacGyver with the cinema”.
Twice it took again this role for television commercials, of which one two is visionnable here even.
In short, all this to say that part of the community of Fans does not imagine MacGyver without Richard Dean Anderson. But all will depend on the selected scenario, the will of the Production, and of course of the choice which RDA will make.

Le problème s'y ils rejouent leurs anciens rôles, c'est que l'on risque de ne pas apprécier le film comme avant. Personnellement je préfère les anciens épisodes où ils étaient jeunes et vifs, plutôt que de les voir vieux et sans actions.
